About CIP

Small enough to take risks. Serious enough to matter.

Communication in Practice is the veterinary publishing house of Roeland Wessels, Theo Lam and Jolanda Jansen. We focus on distinctive veterinary titles that may be too niche, too bold or too specialist for mainstream publishers — but are absolutely worth publishing.

What started as a practical vehicle for our own first book grew, over the years, into a stable, independent publishing house.

What started as a practical vehicle for publishing their own first book grew over the years into a stable, independent publishing house. By now, five titles have appeared in ten language editions, and an estimated nearly 20,000 books have found their way to veterinarians, students and other professionals in the veterinary field.

Every title we publish is written by practitioners, researchers and communication specialists who work in the field every day — grounded in real consult-room moments rather than theory. Meet the authors →
